cursed? warning from a spirit?

I've had experiences like this before. i have a friend who used to do Dark magic and rituals and stuff. She is convinced she has now cursed herself for using blood and animals in her rituals.

She often gets a sharp, burning pain in her chest under her diaphragm and a red welt on her left arm. Like someone is grabbing her and jabbing their hand into her.

She believes it is a soul that got caught in her 'vortex' of taint from her old dark ritual days. She explains it at a being that feeds off psychic energy and sometimes that take too much and it manifests as pain.

I get a sharp pain around my heart sometimes. I'll just blame it on spirits instead of going to a doctor.
