I have a p226 here and it's not firing

It's not jammed or anything and I cleaned it twice and checked or any broken parts

Well, with a description of the problem like that, I'm surprised you aren't getting any useful input.

Go back to the range, pull the trigger and look at the primer of the round that was in the chamber. Was it struck.

me thinks OP finally got it to fire and learned first face that it was a miss chambering.

Stick a pen or a pencil down the barrel, something with a flat end and dry fire it. If the pencil or pen is launched out of the barrel or moved, it should work.
If it does this and still wont fire and leaves light strikes on the primer you probably need a new spring. Also make sure the firing pin channel is clear.

I think that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen on this board. Shove a pencil down the barrel? Either you're a complete retard, or you're trolling.

Try it yourself. The impact of the pin will make it move if it's in contact with the rear of the chamber.

Oh wait, nogunz.

I don't think he realizes that in something like a 9mm the pencil doesn't need to be "shoved" down the barrel. The width of the barrel is much greater than the width of the pencil.

Truth. The pencil trick works well to check the firing pin.

actuaally we used to do this in the military with 1911's and a cardboard box the 1911 would fire the pencil out hard enough to sick in the cardboard 10 feet away helps with trigger control
