You get a maximum of any three martial artists (who are magically resurrected/in their prime - just for you you special faggot) to train you in their own techniques. The question is: WHO DO YOU CHOOSE?

RULES:

1. You can have a maximum of two actual people and one fictional person. (i.e. only one fictional person allowed. Yes I know this rule will break down eventually)

2. No repeats! (i.e. you can't just have bruce lee, bruce lee and bruce lee)

3. The trainers can only teach things they already know.

(OPTIONAL) Explain your choices

OP Here.
I choose Musashi Miyamoto for spiritual strength, Bruce Lee for fighting skills, and Pai Mei to make me a hard-ass summabitch

I'd choose none, Martial arts are refined and improved over time.

And picking Bruce Lee would only make you a good body builder, the man was an actor not a fighter.

I don't understand when people say this, because he fought in numerous documented public and private fights.

I have never seen any documented footage of Lee fighting anyone let alone at a professional level. The only stuff I've seen is him giving demos and for a man who made movies during the television era there should be plenty of footage.

For fucks sakes, I can find 70-100 year old boxing matches on Youtube.

I'd choose Rolls Gracie, Imi Lichtenfeld, & Goku from Dragon Ball GT.

As creators of two of the most effective martial arts out there Rolls and Imi are obvious choices. As far as Goku goes, hey, flying and fireballs would be useful skills to have along with instant transmission. By allowing fictional masters I'm assuming that it's understood you're able to learn what they teach. While the crap loads of 'powering up' that goes on in DBGT is greatly annoying, they're still quite effective without it.

Bruce Lee grew up in a bad neighbourhood and got into a lot of street fights, that's originally why he took up wing tsun... so I don't doubt his experience

That's nice. People have done the same with boxing, muay thai, and pretty much every other martial art ever. Your assertion basically claims that WC and Bruce Lee hold up to the bottom line of social interaction with martial art schools.

John L. Sullivan:
I would like to learn how to throw fists like an oldschool bear-knuckle boxer. Best of all, we could go to the local bar and get hammered after training.

Bruce Lee:
Speed and muscle training, along with his vast knowledge of work-out methods, dietary, and philosophy would make him a great mentor, and I would love to seem him and Sullivan talk fisticuffs.

As for my fictional character, it would be Sherlock Holmes (In the new Robert Downey Jr incarnation):
I would like to be able to dissect every movement in a fight and plan around my opponent's movement, etc..

Holy shit that would be awesome to have those three in a gym together. We would form the greatest Neighborhood Watch EVER.
