How do you guys feel about Rex Kwon Do? I think it's pretty legit, it seems to incorporate a good defense system as the base of the attacks.

Whenever I see or hear about shit like this, all I think is "Here's another idiot who thinks he's some martial art genius after practicing for about 5 years, and is going to try and reinvent the proverbial wheel." Different martial arts suit different purposes; if you want to learn ground work you learn BJJ, if you want to learn throws you learn Judo, you don't half-ass these concepts into a completely different art.

Also, Krav Maga is the way to go if you just want to fuck people up. The only way this guy would see a dollar of my money is if it was to see him get his ass kicked by someone who can actually fight.

>Krav Maga is the way to go if you just want to fuck people up

Krav Maga is way overblown. The founder of Krav Maga made up a huge amount of claims to sell his system, most of which were bullshit. It's expensive, yet ineffective. It was conceived to capitalize on consumer ignorance. Krav Maga is a tantamount to LARPing.

SAGE has been used.

The real question is if it's better than Wing Chun as the baseline for shit.

Honestly you could probably pick any form that gets taught to a military body, and you'd be good to go. I just happen to think that Krav Maga is one of the more no-bullshit ones.

In all fairness, the creator of the martial art spend two seasons fighting in the octagon.

Bartitsu seems to making a comeback. I repeat, BARTITSU seems to be making a comeback.

And you too can join in the trend of letting everyone know you liked the Sherlock Holmes movies a little too much.

You know, bartitsu is in all likelyhood just a corruption of baritsu, which is a real martial art.

Bartitsu was the real martial art that is documented by historical articles. Baritsu is the the knock-off Arthur Conan Doyle used to avoid getting sued or something.

Wing Chun is often teached by asshole who can't even fight a child. Take a look of wong shung leung lineage, nino bernardo, regalzi, michael lousion and philip bayer.

Wing Chun is ONLY taught by childish assholes. The hilarious thing is most delusional chunners are obsessed with their quasi-family feud or "lineage debates" that they can't see that the entire system is shit and hasn't produced any notable professional fighters.

Some aspects of wing chun are really useful. Trapping and blocking mainly. but it's a weak art in general.
>> No. 17948
>>17947
Trapping has limited uses and application and pretty much every other serious striking style does blocking/defense better than WC.

Depends on your goal, really. In my experience, Wing Chun is perfect for stopping a fight before it gets too serious while avoiding injury to yourself. Offensively, stuff like Pak does well enough in a pinch, but the system wasn't really developed for use against people who know what they're doing.

To the fool that thinks that Krav Maga is over rated should find out which martial arts style is being taught in the Israeli special forces and Mossad also Along with Hwarang Do, Krav Maga was taught to Army special forces operators in the 70's. You don't understand.
