Overall this looks neat. But I have a few issues with it:
1. If they really wanted to keep size down they'd drop the rail for an integrated optic/sights. Adding the height of the rail plus flip up irons really adds to the height and time required to deploy (if flip up sights like in OP are used) what is supposed to be a compact and fast weapon. Being that this is Magpul, I'm not surprised.
2. This thing is going to be LOUD. Very short barrel with the bolt right next to your head firing rifle ammo is going to put out a loud flash and big bang. This may or may not be an issue.

I don't want this to get completely off topic into a thread on the merits of bullpups, but in this weapon and role it really should be a bullpup. If the magazine and trigger group were located ahead of the trigger/grip you'd be wasting space in the buttstock, and would have a MUCH shorter barrel unless you increase the overall length of the weapon. Weapons in this role need to be small, maneuverable, and powerful enough to kill at reasonable engagement ranges. You could not keep a weapon like this as small as it is without giving up at least one of the following: barrel length, muzzle velocity, or size. For service rifles that's fine, but for a PDW concealability and handling/ease of access in tight quarters are critical. It's telling that neither two most popular PDW's currently on the market, the P90 or the MP7 are set up with the magazine ahead of trigger. I'm not a huge fan of bullpup rifles myself, but for weapons with these requirements it really shouldn't be avoided.
