GOOGLE glasses? HAHA FUCK NO.
That would be like buying a "Skynet Laptop".
Google already has so much power that it's ridiculous.
No company should have that much personal information about ANYONE. No company can compare to Google's total domination. I mean come on.
The average Joe browses his internet through Google.
He checks his e-mail through Google.
He browses his smartphone through Google.
For searching the web? (oh come on, you guessed it)
And soon to be:
With the release of Chromebook you'd be naïve to say that Google won't dive into the computer market. Google will probably compete at the top alongside Acer, HP, Asus and the likes in a couple of years.
And now Google Glass.. planning to dominate the HUD-market too, right from the start (which they undoubtedly will. What's even worse is they're taking 2 flies in one - Glass will need you to have a G+ account, that means that the big G will soon topple the SOCIAL MEDIA market also, we can already smell the demise of Facebook imo.
So what's the solution?
Well it's a good thing that COMPETITION still exists! Because we can't forget that they haven't become Skynet JUST YET, we still have a chance to keep the shit from happening. 'till today I've read about 4 different companies that are underway with their own, unique HUD's.
I don't know about you, my "CYBERPUNK"-brethren - but if you consciously walk in to the permanent theft of personal information that is Google, you might need to reconsider your fiction of choice.
Fuck Google Search - There's Duck Duck Go
Fuck Google+ - ...and any social media, you self-centered anals. Pidgin with Skype and IRC is all I need.
Fuck Gmail - There's FastMail (Opera software, better rating than Gmail, though for a small fee/year - fkn worth it)
Fuck Chrome - There's MOTHERFUCKING FIREFOX
Fuck Android - There will SOON be Sailfish (thankfully)
Fuck ChromeOS - There's GNU/LINUX.
And finally: Fuck Google Glasses - there's VUZIX (my current fav), Tele-Pathy, Oculon’s Smart Glasses, Apple Glasses(...) and Microsoft and Samsung will likely release Google Glass competitors too.
Don't be a sheep.
