Ladies, Gentlemen, Droogz

It's been a long time since I've posted, and it's been a long time since I've participated in my night time activities. But, after quite a wild ride I find myself in South Carolina, a new state, and plenty of new houses, and a new camera of course. I've only went out once this weekend, as the weather has limited me, but already I have learned that theres a lot of security lights, people sitting on their porches at night, and dogs, but I'm not gonna give up after the first night, don't worry. I only have a couple shitty pics after the first night, but I'm still going to post them for you here, expect more every week, and please feel free to ask me questions, talk to me a bit, as I'll check the thread daily. For those of you who do not know me, I will simply let my thread do the talking.

This one was pretty shitty, I thought I could get a better shot even though there's blinds, but I was wrong. Also, too many people have blinds down here. Everyone who reads this I want you to leave your blinds open at night, it makes it hard for people like me to work.

This one and the next one were of the same house, no people, but I'd figured I'd get a shot anyways. The house had one other lit window, but there was a security light right by it and by the looks of the car in the driveway, it was probably a cop's house and I figured I'd play it safe.

Here's this house again. Some of you may remember that I'd like to wrap up the night in a post after the last image, but I guess I'll just take care of it in this post.

It was nice getting back out again, to say the least. The first house that I went to though, was on the top of a hill in the dark, I walked up to it and about ten feet from the house I heard a man's voice, I'm guessing he was talking on the phone while sitting on his porch. So obviously I just slowly turned 360 degrees and got the fuck out of there. The second picture I posted was actually the first house I got to take pictures of, standing on their porch. My autofocus was not a help at all and just focused on the blinds, so I did it manually. The second house was not a big deal, first picture, just some lady talking on the phone in her kitchen. There were a few houses that looked promising but I went up to them and realized they had blinds or curtains and nothing of value was to be gained.

Only one house had a motion light, I tripped it and ran the fuck away of course. A couple miles into the country I overheard a black man beating his wife, but sadly he had blinds so I couldn't get anything. Then I just got to the last house, took those two pictures, and just decided to call it a night. Overall, it was nice just to be back out, but the results are mediocre.

I'm glad that you're back.

I'd consider doing this if I didn't think I'd get arrested.

I think I lost my edge. I went into two neighborhoods last night, and literally every single house had either blinds or security lights preventing me from getting any good pics. Also somebody left their dog out and it attacked me but I made myself big and scared it off, fuck dogs.

Anyways, heres literally the only pic I got all night. You can't see it, but there's a guy behind that computer, I tried to get around a bit so he'd be in the picture and he totally saw me and I ran.

>>214
Provided you've got a good area (unlike where I am now, apparently) it's pretty easy to get around unnoticed, and nobody can call the cops on you if they don't know you're there, know what I mean? I've only had the cops called a couple times, but I hid pretty well each time and they never even saw me. The only reason you'd get caught, and it's almost got me a few times, is arrogance. Sure, you're not all that easy to see, but don't put yourself into situations that would endanger you if you don't have to. Also, some people are not too fond of police, and would rather shoot you than wait around, and that's never fun.

One more thing before I go, next weekend I'm going to be away, and I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to do this, so I'm gonna try to get out wednesday night so you aren't without content.

Thanks. I actually live in a pretty big city. One in which the police are in big trouble with the DOJ for rampant use of excessive force.

Anyway this stuff is awesome. Don't disappear on us.

Just sayin', if I saw someone looking in my window I'd blow their head off and not even call the cops. You're a really weird fucker.

Someone with such little disregard for human life sounds a lot more weird than someone who takes pictures of people's houses at night. Were you beaten as a child? Play too much Call of Duty?

You're a real shitty human being if you have no problem ending someone's life because they are at your window.

Anyway, keep it up OP. I had heard about your endeavors and was sort of put off, but these pictures are far from the creepy peeping Tom shots I was imagining.

These seemingly benign shots have a certain elegance to them. The shots inspire a sense of familiarity and total foreignness at once. They don't seem voyeuristic or fetishistic but more like portraits. It's not the people that matter, but the settings we usually take for granted. Even when the people are included, it is less about them than the environment they're in.

He is not taking pictures of the house, he's taking pictures through the window. Completely disrespectful of other people's privacy.
Seems like your parents didn't beat you enough. He's not creating art or any of that horseshit faggot poetry you just wrote about him. OP, stand still next time you take your pictures, so your "model" can get a decent shot at your empty fucking skull.

So some guy risks imprisonment and safety to take some funny pictures, and all you guys do is complain.

Bitches these days.

Thanks for your input, I will make sure to consider every single word you have put forth. Obviously I am not the main contributer of this thread, but you are, sir, and everyone should listen to your opinion above all others.

>>278
I thank you for your kind words, and am somewhat surprised, because I never imagined someone else would see it the way I do. Speaking technically of photography, these pictures are in no way, shape or form, works of art, but the concept behind it, capturing the image of American life in the household, candidly, that is something few people do. I look forward to seeing more of you in the thread as it develops.

>>283
Yeah man, everyone's gonna have their own opinion, it's nothing new. I'll tell you guys what though, if you really are this paranoid, spiteful towards the human race, and concerned more with being able to sit on your ass in front of the TV than with the welfare of your fellow man, then I will gladly help you come up with a reasonable security system for your house or some shit, because over the last couple years I've become quite knowledgeable in home security, for obvious reasons.

I again apologize for my lack of content as of late, expect new pictures this weekend, Sunday morning at the latest, and most likely. Please, feel free to post your opinions, concerns, etc. be they constructive or not, free speech is what the internet's all about. But I remind you, please be civil, this thread is not for arguing, but sharing.

It's /regs/ related.

This wasn't always a drug board.

Fuck guys, I live in some sort of purgatory, I swear. A purgatory where everybody has blinds or dogs or security lights, or a combination of them. This shit sucks, I didn't even get one picture, I'm more sorry than anything. It wasn't even a good night to go out, there was lightning so I can only imagine the cheesy horror movies where you see out of the window and with every flash the serial killer gets closer to the house, you know what I mean, it sounds cool, but it's a good way to get noticed. Also some hicks were shooting something off in the distance and every shot just reminded me if I fuck up, even just a bit, there could quite possibly be no more FIST. Also I was hopping a fence and dropped my cigarettes and didn't notice till like almost a mile later and had to go back to look for them. I swear, it's not just the place I'm in, I think I'm losing my edge. I hope next week goes better. Before I go, I want to say one thing. If you guys are out doing this like in the last thread, or if you are interested in doing it, please post your pictures in this thread, that way there's at least something.
