I was expecting so much more from them after the wildly experimental Revelations[...] and the more streamlined but still drenched in atmosphere journey that was Demonoir. I kinda almost wanted them to go the path Mayhem or DsO took, but with their own, unique brand of rifftastic chaos.

It's still a perfectly enjoyable slab of contemporary black metal, but not much more. Like a sedated Hellfire. Sigh.
