Hello, fellow readers and/or writers of sexy stories. Welcome to /elit/, now under new management.
I'm lola, and I'll be your moderator here.
Feel free to come in, put your feet up, and jerk off to our fine selection of smut.

Maybe you're here to request something you've read before, or perhaps you've written a story of your own that you'd like to post. No matter what you are here for, I'd just like to lay down a few quick rules.

1. Please be courteous to the other people here. This means no derailing threads. Criticism, of course, is fine but it should be constructive. We don't want to scare off people who could potentially be amazing writers someday.

2. Don't do anything against site rules. (No CP, don't spam, and advertising is discouraged.) This should go without saying.

3. If you're posting a story that isn't yours, please explicitly state so in your post.

That's about all there is. I'd like you to keep in mind that if you do see something that violates #2, go ahead and report it so it can be taken care of as soon as possible.

I have a soft spot in particular for this board, and I'd like /elit/ to be a place that encourages as many users as possible to contribute.

Hola Señorita Lola,

It appears that contributors have become lax of late with regard to placing descriptive tags at the beginning of their posts.

Perhaps a key to standard tags should be posted and stickied.

(Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets! ?)

I appreciate your input on the matter, but I don't necessarily have a problem with this, as I don't personally believe that tagging should be required if people don't want to do it.

Like, with my elit, Palpable, it would have "spoiled" the end of the first post if I had tagged it accurately.
And, y'know, maybe somebody had an idea for a story. After they wrote down what they originally had, they decided they wanted to continue it and it went in an entirely different direction than what they had planned initially.

But, tagging is great, and helpful to readers. I would definitely say it's encouraged. If there's a huge demand for it to be required, then we can make it required.

I'm tacking on another rule for the sake of aesthetics.

4. Please no links to other sites. I'm happy that you're posting your story here, but I'd like people to be able to read it here, too.

I'm gonna give all the threads that do link out to other sites a week before I start deleting them. If anybody has any complaints or requests for extra time, I can be found in IRC. If I'm not, then there are people there who can contact me directly.

Err, does that mean that if you posted a story and then had something at the end like "you can find all my other stories at this link..." it's deleted, or are you just talking about cases where they put the first paragraph or so and link to another site for the rest of it? Because I can understand banning the second, but writers do sometimes use places like this partly to build up a fanbase, and a chansite isn't the best place for permanent repository of their stories.
