No. 707
Im looking for a rather incredible elit i read a few years ago, and have never managed to stumble upon since. I can't remember the title or the author, but I remember the more unique aspects of the story:
1) It followed a powerful man in a futuristic human civilisation (possibly some time after an apocalypse or soemthing but i cant quite remember). Men had established a firm grip on authority over women, who were given drugs to prevent them from forming any permanent memories after they were married. Thus men kept them for menial tasks and as sexual servants (they were bound to obey any command he gave them by law), both of which they were taught about before being given the drugs.
2) Plot is, the guy thinks its all wrong, falls in love with his wives and manages to stop a few of them being drugged so they retain their memories. All of society is guided by the 'wisdom' of an old supercomputer with an AI of supposedly incredible complexity, which they regard as a godlike source of wisdom, and which is kept running by a secretive cult-like organisation of technicians - they are like the priests of the story's religion, which centres around the AI. The protagonist manages to hack it, finding out that its software is actually very patchwork AI, and uses it to try and right the injustices in the fictional world.
3) Generally theres a ton of awesome sex scenes involving a plethora of different kinks and stuff.
Anyone else ever read this one and remember the name?
