Hey. I want to ask how unhealthy, how much I am fucking myself up, if I eat 100-200 gram of chocolate biscuits, chocolate wafer bars, chocolate digestive bars, that sort of thing, every day. Maltesers, Kit-Kat, Twix, and so on.. it's the only type of candy that can fill this craving, this hunger I get (usually when I am down, which I am a lot, but thats another story).

It's terrible for you, stop.

At least moderate your intake and make sure to eat a healthy, varied diet beyond your choco-delights. Plus, there's so much good food out there beyond that mass-produced crap.

What are these good foods you talk about, that might replace what I am well aware is shoddy mass produced garbage? The most importing thing for me is that it's cheap, and a thousand calories of Kit-Kat for 1.49 euro certainly is just that.

I have been thinking why I get these cravings, and are theorizing that sometimes I simply need some of those calories.. even if I stuff myself full with these chicken/vegetable/rice dishes I make, so much that my stomach hurts, I still feel a hunger for these crispy chocolate things.
But maybe I'm just making excuses for myself..

Well, to be fair, I was assuming that your overall diet was poor - but chicken/veg/rice dishes sound like they could be pretty healthy. Just make sure you get a decent amount of variation. Try new foods. Experiment with cooking differently. Bake your own chocolate biscotti! Maybe it'll hit the crispy chocolate spot.

As long as you moderate your intake and get plenty of good nutrients along side the sugary delights, you should be fine. Try reducing the amount you consume by half. Try salty, crispy snacks as a substitution. Don't mindlessly consume while you're doing other things. When you eat your treats, sit there and savor the flavor! When you slow down and pay attention to what you're eating, often the craving is satisfied with a smaller amount than if you gobble it up.

Sugar is addictive. So is half the other crap that you'll find in fast food.

This could be why you're craving them so much. Don't feel bad though, I'd say most of us get them.

+ raisins! You can also put salty peanuts and raisins in your salad, that's fucking delicious even though it might sound weird.

Yeah, it's probably an sugar addiction. Try reducing your consumption gradually. First every other day, then twice a week, then once a week.

You've become used to sensory input patterns. Just like smokers who still feel the need to "be doing something with their hands" even if they're on nicotine patches, you feel the need to bite on something crunchy and sugary.

The only way I know of to get out of the habit is to stop it cold turkey. It'll take 90 days to unlearn your habit, and during that time you will feel irritable and be short tempered. Still, 90 days to extend your life by at least 5 years is worth it, and you'll start to feel better every day too.

Good luck if you decide to do it, if not I hope you enjoy yourself anyway.

Why are they called digestive biscuits, anway? Do they have added fiber in them or something?
