I used to like /b/ there back, especially when I was in the mood to just chill and fuck around on 99 but 99 was too slow. 420's /b/ is a little more stream-of-consciousness and silly, kind of half-way between 99 and 4 or 7chan. I haven't gone there in like two years or something though.

I used to go there around Christmas time in 2008-maybe 2011 or 12... there were a lot of ballza streams of Christmas specials and stuff around that time and it was a nice way to spend a Tuesday evening in the winter. I kind of have a nostalgic connection to it at that time of year.

Overall, I like it. It's got a nice balance between speed and quality. If 4 big dicks up my asshole is WalMart and 99chan is a shithole vintage clothing store that smells like moths and has uppity judgmental and unhelpful cashiers, then 420chan is like... H&M or something I don't know I lost the metaphor.

Americans didn't hellza suffer that much in WWI or WWII. America lost 0.3% of its population in WWII. For comparison, Nazi Germany lost 9%, the USSR 14%, and Poland 20%. Likewise, the brunt of the casualties in the Korean and Vietnam War were in the countries in question. America only had a little under 60,000 deaths in the Vietnam War, versus somewhere in the range of 1,500,000 military and civilian dead for the Vietnamese.

I think a lot of the "young" guys get it as a nickname. In a lot of black American culture, "young so-and-so" is a sort of diminutive. Young Guru, for example, is in his 40s but he was given the name Young Guru as a teenager when he taught an African history course at a local community center.

As for Evian, I think it's just a pastiche of juxtaposed references. Something disposable and largely unnecessary - bottled water - and something that has stood for thousands of years. Commercialism and religion, the sacred and the superfluous. I don't know, I've never heard him talk about the origin of his name, but that would be my guess. I think it has a nice ring when taken all together.
