I think it's fucked up that kids should be punished for their parent's crimes. Doesn't growing up on an island riddled with criminals make them more likely to become criminals as well?

I'll reserve judgement until it actually airs and we can see which direction they go with it. Maybe the series will play up how fucked the whole system is and make people question who the real villains are...

...but my first impression is that that's probably not happening. On the other hand, it looks like it's engineered to appeal to fanfic writers. Masturbating fangirls would buy the hell out of plushies of those main characters to grind all over.
