No. 67399
I had a discussion with a friend and he could understand why the girl had to take a shortcut through the woods, so I drew him this picture. He went on to talk about how that is a strange way to populate, especially for family members.
The wolf also met Riding Hood at some point in the forest, but then had to run to get to grandma's house and do all the things he did before she got there, meaning it must not have been that short a walk.
The discussion came about because I pointed out that it was originally a cautionary tale and Riding Hood and Grandma were not saved in the original version. The question then arose as to what moral and point the story was supposed to tell, and I pointed out because it was supposed to warn kids about the forest. The bigger question is why her mother sent her off alone on such a long walk, regardless of whether or not she went in the forest.
Also, I firmly believe that all men are rapists.
