Today, Fronk has decided to embark on an epic journey to make Pretzels. Delicious, yummy, and fluffy pretzels.

It was a strange trip, indeed. I started off very excited! Yeast, brown sugar, salt, and some flour! Little bit of water and boom! It's all coming together!

Had to let this shit sit for 20 minutes before rolling it out. This is the point in my journey where I was still quite ecstatic about my time spent.

And it soon went very downhill, as I slowly got more annoyed by each individual string being harder and harder to roll out.

Egg wash! I do know why you do this. The glaze makes things look so much more pretty and golden brown!

[not that it helped]

Little less excited at this point. The pretzels looked kind of weird. I thought nothing of it as I moved steadily along, following the recipe blindly!

Boom!! In the pot. It kind of fell apart and the first two I put in were absolutely irredeemable so I just said fuck it and tossed them in a bout of sperglord anger.

They. Look. So. Awful.

My pretzel journey was very horrible at this point. I was stacking up on the dishes that I needed to do, I was hungry for lunch, and I was quite disappointed with how awful these looked.

I was quite a sad fellow.

Omg. These look so gross. I don't even want to show you these but to not to would be an awful waste of your time and mine.

Fuck; I can't believe I've done this.

The end of the saga. This is the second batch that I let cook a bit longer, let it get a bit more golden brown.

Honestly, this journey was quite an experience. I thought it would be the most awful thing ever, and they look like it, but I kind of estimate it like this.

My poor pretzels are kind of like the physically deformed kid at school. He's not exactly the best looking, he's quite strange and different from the norm, and everyone makes fun of him. But honestly, he's not dumb, he's actually quite smart and very tasty. Well. The pretzel.

Not the kid. Fronk does not condone eating deformed children.

Tl;dr: they look awful but they taste v good. slight regrets but the tasty pretzels let me get over my regrets pretty instantaneously

When the dough is difficult to roll out, it just needs to be covered and left to set for a bit. Also, I can see from your finished product that you didn't knead the dough enough (or at all?). Anyway, glad you enjoyed them. I'm a baker, by the way.
