What's weird about the "neither of us trust Rauner" comment? The guy he is addressing the missed connection ad to was canvassing for Get The Vote Out, so I'm assuming they talked briefly about politics. They probably talked briefly about how they do not like or trust Rauner and that information was included in the ad as a detail through which the subject of the post could potentially be more likely to recognize who made the post and - if he felt an attraction too - get in touch for some hot beat-on-cub action or a nice coffee date.
